Introduction/Job Overview:
Our client is a leading technology provider who are internationally renowned for their quality and service. They are now looking for a Value Stream Manager to join their team in Ilminster. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing and the Operations Director, your role will be both to provide effective leadership, ensuring that KPIs are met, health and safety standards are adhered to and your team is enthusiastic and motivated at work. The successful candidate will have significant experience in a technical production environment.
Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and oversight of all employees and functions
* Ensure a high level of quality manufacturing is achieved within a safe and timely manner
* Aid in continuous improvement by identifying areas of deficiency within the business
* Responsibility for Safety, Quality and Delivery leadership throughout the value stream
* Mentor and develop team members
* Use lean techniques to provide analysis on value to continually improve and eliminate waste
* Create strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Set goals, priorities and targets for activities within the value stream
* Ensure that all work is completed within ISO, regulatory and statutory requirements
Requirements:
* 5+ years within a technical production environment
* Ideally trained to Sigma 6 green belt
* Experience using Syspro (or equivalent)
* A strong understanding of manufacturing metrics
* Proven knowledge of LEAN manufacturing practices
* Some experience in a project management capacity
* Strong motivational and communication skills
* Ability to lead a team and deliver results
