Wood requires an engaging, forward thinking, people-oriented business leader to join our Information Technology leadership team as the Vice President (VP) of IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this individual will be responsible for leading the organisation's entire IT infrastructure and cyber security strategy whilst ensuring the department efficiently and safely support Woods systems and ongoing business be successful the individual must be self-motivated and have strong commercial knowledge, whilst ideally demonstrating high levels of emotional intelligence and collaborative skills to work across Wood’s global business.

Key focus areas include:

Realigning the partner landscape to ensure they provide cost effective flexibility and scalability in support of business operations

Further development of the Cyber Security functions to focus on a risk based approach to cyber security

Development and deliver y of the five year infrastructure roadmap including mechanisms to ensure cost transparency and adherence to budget targets.

This role will be a key member of the IT leadership team and be responsible for a team of cross functional system subject matter experts. The role also provides appropriate status updates to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors as required, whilst they will partner with the appropriate business functions in support of business initiatives to provide digital solutions for Wood customers (internal and external) and peers within the IT function.

Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure and cyber security strategy aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives

Provide visionary leadership to drive innovation, ensuring the continuous enhancement of infrastructure and cybersecurity capabilities, efficiencies and cost

Influence setting and has responsibility for delivery within IT infrastructure and cyber security operational budgets, additional expenditure and project budgets with potential contracted spend upwards of USD 100M. Expected to continually review and leverage investment

End-to-end accountability for provision of IT infrastructure and cyber services delivered through a blended resource mix of internal staff and outsourced service provider to achieve strategic and tactical plans

Provide vision and leadership in the development and delivery of IT and cyber strategies, roadmaps, and programmes to ensure that they align with business objectives and maximise the effectiveness of available resources

Thought leadership; future focused; innovative; effective and efficient; creating competitive advantage

Leadership and delivery of multiple initiatives including multi-million dollar projects and service contracts

Accountability for third party outsourced service provision, maintaining effective service delivery through contract management, cost-effectiveness and SLAs, mitigating risks where appropriate

Accountable for all aspects of Cyber Security for the systems environment including risk management, threat detection and response, incident handling and vulnerability management. Maintain awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, ensuring the organisation remains proactive in safeguarding information

Collaborate with other departments to understand technology requirements and ensure that infrastructure supports current and future business needs

Build and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Allocate resources effectively across key business priorities, drive skills enhancement and promote a collaborative and inclusive working environment

Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standard, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures which safeguard information assets. Collaborate with legal, risk, ethics and compliance teams to address requirements, complete necessary audits and maintain a strong governance framework

Degree in related business or equivalent years’ experience

Knowledge, skills and experience:

Extensive relevant experience in IT including networking, infrastructure and data security

Extensive experience in delivery and support of global scale service management and organisational change management

A senior IT leader with a full array of IT skills and a track record of successfully delivering a global IT service organisation.

Able to drive change to evolve these services, constantly seeking to improve service and lower cost to the business

Strong background in IT service management, specifically in the establishment and delivery for large global organisations

Proven experience in managing sophisticated global vendor relations in the technology field

Proven experience of identifying and driving improvements within IT service and cyber security processes

Extensive knowledge of IT technologies and strategies, including all aspects of the IT project life cycle from requirement management, configuration management, change control, reliability analysis and quality management

Proven background of high $ value projects and cost savings achieved

Excellent understanding of managed services and the due diligence processes involved

Proven end-to-end process / systems approach and in-depth knowledge of global IT service delivery techniques and practises

Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills to aid with understanding interdependencies and the affects they may have with other projects or services

Track record and proven ability and experience of working up to ELT and Board level

Significant experience and a successful track record in negotiating high value global contracts

Experience of driving and implementing significant strategic business transformation

Experience in building high performance teams

Experience of working as part of a senior management team and leading the delivery organisational strategy

Strong relationship and interpersonal skills with an entrepreneurial approach that leverages opportunities
