The Opportunity:

As part of the Platform Engineering Group, your responsibilities will be to collaborate within a growing crossfunctional organisation tasked with the inception and continuance of a series of services underpinning the largest digital transformation in the company’s history. You will be tasked with verifying the quality and fitness of software applications, cooperating with professionals from different disciplines and of varying experience levels, enabling you the opportunities to both mentor and learn from colleagues. Our desire to foster a working environment that enables high velocity decision making will allow you to learn through practise and experimentation, whilst permitting you to take advantage of industry standard training services that will support your experiences.

Your participation in this culture will empower you to meaningfully contribute to the delivery of software solutions to our stakeholders, not only through your participation in the development and verification process, but also in the refinement of our mentoring and documentation processes. The experience you bring will be a valuable resource in the continuous improvement of our engineering practises and how we approach problems as an organisation.

We encourage our Test Engineers to participate in the entire development process, reinforcing the consideration of verification procedures throughout the lifespan of a task and ensuring the production of quality applications. Our department is committed to ensuring that reasonable time is spent on exploratory testing deliverables and existing solutions, enabling our teams to create and maintain high calibre software. The organisation is looking for individuals to collaborate with our developers to build and preserve robust automated test suites that appropriately cover repeatable circumstances in a pragmatic fashion, as part of the migration towards Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) practises.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The role presents the opportunity for hybrid working that must include regular office attendance.
