PROJECT MANAGER CABLING – HEATHROW – CONTRACTThis role is for a Senior Project Support Engineer/ Project Manager to work on the Heathrow Airport Technology Delivery Partner (TDP) Project. The role will be based at Heathrow Airport 5 days a week. The candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering the implementation plan on various IT projects across the campus. In particular. detailed knowledge of installing cabling, physical infrastructure, and active network equipment, internally and externally. The project is involved in large-scale construction work at the airport and adherence to relevant Health and Safety requirements is paramount.Duration: 6 monthsMostly Day shift - 95% days, onsite (any night work is for the inspection of operations / work completedIdeally must have a Manager CSCS or ECS Card (black) or someone who holds a SMSTS with at least 6 months before it expires and is willing to apply for the Manager CSCS or ECS Card (black) before startingCore Activities:Manage and deliver implementation projects including, but not limited to:H&S of site works.and maintain Project PlansRAMS for installation activities.job packs and provide detailed information for internal engineers to complete surveys/installation works.Ensure responsibilities under CDM regulations as Principal Designer, Principal Contractor or Contractor are discharged effectively with focus on site management and activity reporting.Ensure all works are carried out in line with the directions / stipulations laid out with in the Construction Phase Plan (CPP)Undertake operational inspection to ensure safe working practises are being adhered to and maintained. Some night works may be required depending on the works location)Liaise with all required Internal and external stakeholders to effectively obtain:approvals.Requirements./ permissions for works to proceed.(both internal and external).Contractor management of:3rd party suppliersworking on client’s PC SitesCollaborate with Design team.assurance (checking the implementation adheres to the design)and highlight both H&S and implementation risks / issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner.assurance (ensuring installation works are installed to the correct standard)have and to ensure continued awareness of the critical operational environment at Heathrow.to process improvementsEXPERIENCEa clear knowledge and experience of delivering IT infrastructure projects within challenging operational environments and with multiple stakeholders.demonstrate knowledge of successfully managing a team.or Rail experience preferable but not essential.a working knowledge of CDM 2015.Technical Skills:of cabling and Physical Infrastructure installation in challenging environments.has experience working in a Principle Contractor role.has experience of Heathrow and airport equipment, systems, processes, and installation standards or Rail experience.has knowledge of network infrastructure.has knowledge of MPLS solution roll outs or similarQualifications:Preferred▪ SMSTS ▪ CSCS / ECS▪ Project Manager Qualification ▪ Driving licensePlease apply via this ad in the first instance or send a CV with covering note or contact me on 07587743762 or [email protected]
