Child Friendly Cities & Communities is a UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) programme that works with councils to put children’s rights into practice. The programme aims to create cities and communities in the UK where all children – whether they are living in care, using a children’s centre, or simply visiting their local library – have a meaningful say in, and truly benefit from, the local decisions, services and spaces that shape their lives.
As Programme Support Officer you will provide business and administrative support across the Child Friendly Cities & Communities team. You have experience of coordination, business support or administration roles, and can manage a busy workload and competing priorities, adapting quickly and confidently to change. You understand the importance of timely communication and information sharing across a small team. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and show outstanding initiative and attention to detail. You are ready to develop new skills, including in communications, and are eager to develop your knowledge about issues relating to children and young people in the UK.
