You will be electrically qualified and open to learning new things. Knowledge of the water industry would be advantageous but not essential. We’ll provide you with training and the opportunity to build on your existing knowledge in areas such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), instrumentation and controls.
You will play a key role in keeping the assets at our pumping stations, reservoirs, or production sites in good working order so that we can keep the water flowing for our customers. Few things are more important in our communities than reliable access to clean water for drinking.
You'll attend water treatment and production sites to carry out repairs, respond to failures, monitor contractor activities, and repair faults. You'll maintain and install plant and water treatment equipment including pumps, motors, chemical analysers, and gas dosing equipment.
You will normally work 37 hours each week, from 7.30 a.m. to 15.30 p.m., Monday through Friday. As a critical service, you’re needed to work 1 in 6 standby shifts to respond to incidents after hours and on weekends.
