Our aim is simple yet profound: to ignite the creative spark in children and foster a lifelong love for creativity.What sets Cresconova Makerspace apart is our unwavering commitment to creating a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art Makerspace facility for children aged 7-12. Inspired by Picasso's timeless words, Every child is an artist, we're dedicated to preserving that innate creativity as children grow. Our Makerspace/Creative Hub is more than just a place—it's a haven where young minds can explore, experiment, and unleash their limitless potential.At Cresconova, we recognize that nurturing creativity isn't just about teaching skills; it's about instilling joy and purpose in every learning moment. Join us in shaping the future, one inspired creation at a time.This exciting new appointment will work closely with the Chief Creative Officer in planning, designing, and executing the establishment of a large space to create a modern, innovative Makerspace. The Manager will fully manage the day-to-day operations of the space, supporting interdisciplinary teamwork and using market-leading rapid prototyping and digital production equipment.ResponsibilitiesManaging and supervising the Makerspace, and support various projects as neededMakerspace operations, including material procurement, scheduling, access, and safety trainingMakerspace health and safety - developing and implementing safety training protocols and monitoring enforcement of safety policies and guidelines in accordance with relevant governing bodies, such as COSHH and CLEAPSInitiating annual planned maintenance on all machines, tools, and equipment with outside maintenance contractors to ensure that all risk assessments are up-to-dateQualificationsBachelor degree or relevant technical qualificationsExperience managing, maintaining and training in a Makerspace type of environment.Enjoy working in an educational establishmentStrong organisational and communication skillsThrive in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment; be energetic, creative and tenacious, with an enthusiasm for innovationCombined technical and educational experience and passion for new and emerging technology
