As Quality Manager you are responsible for the effective implementation and application of the Group's Quality Strategy in the UK and Ireland region.
Your main responsibilities are:
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, to ensure that each site consistently produces malt that meets the required quality and technical specifications
- Manage and monitor the customer complaints process to ensure effective and timely complaint resolution
- Provide technical support to the operations team for production issues impacting quality; and to the barley execution team
- Provide Technical and Quality support to our customers and lead review meetings with them related to this data.
- Supporting the Key Account Managers in customer relationship building.
- Support the business on technical projects and with pilot and production scale trials.
Ensuring the effective deployment of the Group's Quality, food and feed safety policy
- Implement, monitor and maintain Group quality procedures
- Manage Quality Support for sites with audits to ensure we maintain the highest standards of compliance for quality and food safety.
- Manage the food safety monitoring program ensuring that our products comply with all relevant food safety legislation
- You ensure that our processes and products are compliant with our legal obligations and customer requirements
- Implement and monitor Group Quality KPI's and work with site operational teams to ensure continuous improvement against targets
- Manage investigations / root cause analysis in relation to non compliances and quality issues.
- Responsibility for the management of the Quality budget and Quality related capex submissions within the region.
You are a people manager and act as mentor and line manager to the UK & Ireland FSQR Specialist
Master recherché
- Minimum 5 years experience in a senior quality, technical, food processing or production role within the distilling industry
- Knowledge of the malting, distilling and brewing industry
- Experience with food safety systems, preferably FSSC 22000
- Experience in problem solving and change management
- Sound knowledge of biochemistry for technical (process) support of the business
- Master or Bachelor degree in a technical field, agriculture, Agronomy, food science, Chemistry or related discipline
- Fluent English
