Are you a caring and compassionate person that would like to gain experience in a school setting? Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) that is committed to supporting children with SEN and additional needs?
We are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support children in a fantastic and supportive SEN school in Ellesmere Port. As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will be working with and supporting children, most of which have an EHCP, on a 1:1, small group or general classroom basis.
If you have personal experience of SEN or Mental Health or have built experience via a qualification, or through your own volunteering and paid work, this role will really help build on your experience.
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will:
* Help pupils access curriculum through your dedicated support
* Create and help with resources
* Raise attainment of the students
* Support the needs of students with SEND
* Work alongside and learn from the teaching team
* Adapt your support style dependant on the students’ needs
* Monitor pupil progress
As a Learning Support Assisatnt (LSA) you will have:
* DBS on the update service or willing to get one
* Prior experience with children - experience of supporting children with SEN needs would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of behaviour management is desirable but not essential
* Creativity and Innovation
* The ability to build relationships
