We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Lead Generator to join our dynamic team. The Position
The Lead Generator will be a vital part of the sales team responsible for selling our Software and Services, and reports to the Head of Sales. It will be the Lead Generators role to work with the sales team to ensure that all agreed sales targets are met or exceeded, by providing a consistent supply of leads.
The Lead Generator will generate qualified new and existing business leads for the sales team through a combination of cold calling, conducting sales campaigns by working with the marketing team to support social campaigns and complement other communication streams and networking with contacts in the industry.
This role would suit a self-motivated individual who can harvest relationships quickly through persistent and targeted communication, some Food Retail and Hospitality industry experience is an advantage but not a requirement. We seek a candidate with an exceptional ability to think strategically and communicate effectively, focusing on overall customer satisfaction and maintaining long-term relationships that generate quality leads. This position can be hybrid home-based/office-based role. We have offices across the UK.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proactively make outbound calls spending a large part of your time on the phone.
Develop and maintain a sales pre-demonstration pipeline of sufficient size to achieve agreed sales targets.
Create leads in (CRM) and maintain system with accurate details.
Learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Company’s product portfolio and awareness of competitor products.
Maintain an awareness of industry trends.
Contribute to the marketing activities and propose marketing campaigns and ideas.
Drive marketing / lead generation initiatives in line with business objectives, set by management.
Create, maintain, and execute a clear sales plan for daily/ weekly/ monthly quarterly sales activity.
Learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Company’s product portfolio and maintain an awareness of competitor products.
Participate in regular team meetings.
Meet and exceed sales bookings targets.
Meet and exceed all weekly and monthly activity expectations.
Support the external sales team when required.
Support all internal sales activity.
Able to use tools to aid Lead generation
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven 1 year + experience in new business telephone sales or new business lead generation role.
Relevant professional sales training and experience.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills with an ability to quickly establish customer rapport over the phone.
Good understanding of technology.
A good degree of computer literacy and technical understanding.
Software sales experience and/or selling into the Retail/Hospitality sector is an advantage.
Desirable but not essential, given full training will be provided.
A track record of helping to grow a business.
Experience selling solutions within the payments sector. Including the following:
Transaction revenue
PDQ / PED terminals
Alternative Payment Methods
Your personal characteristics will include:
Proven experience in a similar lead generation role, preferably in Retail/Hospitality.
Strong understanding of lead generation techniques and strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively engage and build relationships with prospects.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to achieving targets and goals.
Familiarity with CRM software and lead management tools.
A results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue and achieving KPIs.
