About the role
We have an exciting role for a Junior Certification Manager to join our Smart Home Internet of Things (IoT) Device certification team, who provide certification across a wide range of smart/connected devices including smart locks, doorbells, security cameras, Wi-Fi home-hubs, fire alarms to smart fridges, lighting and TVs.
You'll be passionate about all things IoT and eager to utilise your knowledge and expertise in guiding clients through their product certification, with the aim of delivering high-quality, “right first time” product evaluation.
As a Junior Certification Manager you will have the opportunity to further grow your expertise across IoT standards with a view to becoming a technical expert in your field.
The position can be remote based with a requirement to travel to our Hemel Hempstead site 1-2 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that technical reports are reviewed.
Ensure certification recommendations are made.
Maintain excellent lines of communication with clients.
Fee-earning project utilisation is maximised.
Delivery of projects to customer expectations and deadlines.
Delivery of profitable projects.
Delivery of projects with a high-quality technical content.
Represent BSI at Industry Events, Committees and Client Meetings.
Support the development of new IoT schemes.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
B.S/MSc in a relevant technical subject such as Internet of Things (IoT) or IoT with Cyber Security.
Knowledge of IoT connected device standards would be preferred but not essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – capable of communicating technical issues to a wide audience, including clients with limited technical knowledge and clients who do not use English as a first language.
Ability to work collaboratively with others in an interdependent role as part of a complex matrix in a global business.
Excellent organisation and planning skills.

The salary for this position can range from £30,000 - £35,000; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
