Our client are Yorkshire’s leading Business Managed Service Provider.They look after their staff and focus on the development of their employees with investment in training and company support for relevant courses.They understand that the better their employees are, the better their service will be to their customers and ultimately that’s how their business grows. The Candidate
As our client invest in your personal development, we are looking for candidates with the right attitude. Its 75% attitude and 25% skill set on this role. We want someone with something about them, not just a run of the mill IT Support Engineer. You will be self-motivated and loyal individual who is possibly on the lookout for a challenge that sees you have more exposure to customers than you currently have. Understanding the importance of customer service is the key part of this role, so real world examples of when you have gone the extra mile for the customer is what we will be looking for.
As an IT Support Service Desk Engineer, we will expect you to be of 1st/2nd line level. Or 1st who is looking to progress into second. Any experience within a service desk, help desk, or managed service provider environment would be useful but not essential.
Although based in York, on occasion you will have to travel to other sites around York, so a drivers license is necessary.
Technical Skills
Knowledge and understanding of the following would be desirable:
Windows 7/8 workstation support
Microsoft Office/Office 365
Windows Server
Exchange
Active Directory
Basic Router Configuration

The IT Support Service Desk Engineer can expect
20k salary
Salary reviewed every 12 months
Investment in training – Company support for relevant courses

23 days annual leave
Discretionary annual bonus, payable in December, dependent upon company performance
Notice Period: one month
Hours
35 hours per week, 1 hour lunch, Monday- Friday 9am-5pm
