IT Support Officer: Aspatria / Wigton, Cumbria Start date asap Salary : 24,000 pa Hours : 9am 5pm 23 days holiday + BH MacArthur Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Support Officer with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who can provide exemplary customer service within their company. This is with a highly reputable company where your work will be focussed on quality with attention to detail being key. The role would be focussed on 1st and 2nd line / desktop tasks within a small team.

Main duties and responsibilities for the role of IT Support Officer : To be the first point of contact for approximately 60 regular users (office mostly) To provide a customer facing support service to all users of IT technology To provide technical support for requests for logged IT services To provide a proactive and responsive service to all IT users; demonstrating good, regular communication skills throughout the process To log all requests on the IT Service Desk and maintain full documentation To provide support for Microsoft operating systems, specifically Windows 10 To provide support on desktop applications including, but not limited to; Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus, and provide advice and/or training where necessary To provide support on client devices such as PCs, laptops, smart phones and printers To ensure all assets (hardware and software) are maintained and kept up to date on the asset register To ensure, in conjunction with colleagues, that backup routines are checked daily, and that media is stored in approved locations To arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in-house. Qualifications and experience for the role of IT Support Officer : Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft / MS Office) Relevant education in Information Technology - or equivalent commercial experience Must be able to independently work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Experience in an IT Support environment ideally but further training provided Strong skills in problem solving Why work for our client as an IT Support Officer?
