Sonic Healthcare UK encompasses the two main entities in the UK, The Doctors Laboratory (TDL) and Health Services Laboratories (HSL). HSL is a partnership between The Doctors Laboratory (TDL), Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). HSL was formed to provide pathology services to the NHS Trusts and has expanded further to provide services to other NHS Trusts. Over 2,500 staff work at Sonic Healthcare UK, primarily under the TDL or HSL banner.

With our core laboratory based at The Halo Building in London WC1H 9AX, we also have an expanding site in Manchester as well as smaller hospital-based laboratories across the country. About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) team. This health, safety, and environmental advisor role not only supports the group in meeting health and safety objectives but is key to developing the environmental agenda.
You will partner with key stakeholders across the group to support and provide expert advice in order to contribute to the achievement of health, safety and environmental objectives.
This role will cover strategic and operational elements developing HS&E across the Group. This extends to ensuring continual improvement associated with our ongoing ISO14001 accreditation.
Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to advise on best practice in relation to health, safety and environmental law and guidance. The role will involve working in partnership with management and staff advising on health, safety and environmental compliance, policy development, delivery of training, auditing HS&E management arrangements amongst other HS&E duties.
The role is based in Central London with a hybrid working set up. Travel to our UK-wide laboratories will be required.
