Responsible for working across the operations and staging delivery of the Solheim Cup in Europe.
Identify and lead innovative planning and delivery of the Solheim Cup Fan Village, bringing a unique and family focused off-course entertainment zone to the event.
Procure and deliver all off-course tented structures, including layouts and interiors.
Act as the key liaison between the event staging team and the appointed TV production company, supporting with operational requirements, and preferred local rate cards.
Assist the operations director in sourcing experienced and local suppliers that can support the successful delivery of the Solheim Cup in Europe.
Ability to provide analysis and reports, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
Work closely with representatives from the LPGA and LET.
Ability to organise and chair meetings, prepare agendas and provide clear and focused leadership.
Identify and manage negotiations with suppliers and service providers, ensuring the best value and service levels are delivered while maintaining positive relationships.
Support the delivery of a world class and innovative experience for all those attending the Solheim Cup, including players, caddies, TV broadcasters, media, fans, and stakeholders.
Work with and manage stakeholders, including the host venue and destination, to ensure the event is delivered in line with the agreed objectives, vision and values.
Demonstrate ability to adapt and bring new ideas and be able to articulate this to the wider teams.
Support local authority and government relationships across all operational aspects, including safety, security, transport and planning.
Manage aspects of the procurement process for Solheim Cup, ensuring the suppliers deliver value and best in class services.
Source local suppliers that can support the Solheim Cup
Manage more junior members of the operational for the Solheim Cup, including the recruitment of event runners and onsite operational support.
Build relationships and support colleagues with developing outreach materials to support delivering success.
Work in conjunction and leverage relationships in the host country and region, including the National Golf Federation, host venue and national and regional Government.
Support with future venue planning, and the pre-event works required to ensure future venues are ‘event ready’.
Work with local landowners to establish land rental requirements and agreements.
Work and liaise with various transport agencies on delivering an all-encompassing transport operation.
Manage and liaise with suppliers for the implementation of signage and wayfinding plans.
Work with the live delivery of the transport operations.

You Will Have The Following Strengths:
Experience working as part of a team delivering large scale international events, preferably with some golf experience, including an understanding of health & safety and best practices
Project and budget management
Understanding Golf is a nice to have, but not a must.
Understanding of working within a multi-agency environment
Capable of thinking creatively with a practical, commercially driven, entrepreneurial mindset
Can demonstrate experience of responding to client needs including a proven track record of successful client relationships and strategic account management/engagement.
Understanding of working within a multi-agency environment.
Good knowledge of traffic management and an understanding of event transport operations and be able to integrate the variety of modes of transport to maximise capacity on site.
Experience in acquiring rental land for parking / extra event activities.
Event ISOH qualification is preferred but not essential.
Basic first aid training is preferred but not essential.

Must have strong written and verbal English language skills. A second European Language is preferred but not essential.
Strong people management skills and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible, hardworking with a positive approach.
Working knowledge of MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Experience in working with event 2D CAD software and mapping technology is preferred but not essential.
Ability to build long-lasting working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to self-direct and motivate, working with minimal supervision at times.
A strong team player that is flexible and dependent on business demand.
Excellent time management skills, and ability to work calmly under pressure whilst meeting deadlines.

Strong decision making and awareness of the need for involvement of legal, finance and senior teams at the appropriate stages.
Ability to monitor own performance at regular intervals and develop alternative strategies if own goals are not being achieved.

Working Conditions:
Regular weekend work where you may be required to travel to events domestically and internationally.
Outside of event travel, there will be a requirement to travel for meetings as part of the role.
In a European Solheim Cup year there will be an expectation to spend periods of time onsite at the host venue during both the build and de-rig phase to oversee the installation of event infrastructure.
