The Role:
Bolton Council is seeking to recruit an NPTC qualified Tree Surgeon to work as part of a small in-house team, to carry out all aspects of Arboricultural tree works on Council land within the borough.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in the management and maintenance of the Council’s tree stock, which includes trees on highways, in parks and throughout the Council’s extensive woodlands.
The team use a high-level platform where possible, but you will also be required to climb and carry out aerial works. All equipment and protective clothing is provided.
You will also benefit from a standby allowance and overtime on a regular rota to provide an out of hours response for tree issues.
About You:
You will be an individual with a passion for the environment to take an active role in the protection and management of the borough’s trees. You will be flexible and reliable with a thorough proven knowledge of all aspects of tree work; ground and aerial.
You will be self-motivated and have a strong team working ethic. A positive attitude towards Health & Safety is essential.
