VP, Assistant General Counsel, Parexel Informatics

The Associate General Counsel, Parexel Informatics provides general legal support and advice on a broad range of global legal activities as a member of dynamic legal team and technology enabled clinical services organization. He/she provides advice and counsel for the Company’s commercial, regulatory and compliance, corporate, and labor and employment needs.

  • Provides strategic advice and counsel on a wide variety of legal issues including corporate, regulatory, commercial, compliance and data privacy, labor and employment, litigation management and general legal advice throughout the Company.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, toolkits and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable labor regulations.
  • Drafts, reviews, and provides advice and counsel regarding a variety of contracts between Company, third parties, and customers.
  • Assist with compliance programs, including developing appropriate policies, procedures, audits and trainings.
  • Selects, manages and evaluates local external counsel within specified budgetary limits and in line with business and legal management’s expectations.
  • Assist with managing litigation and internal investigations.
  • Supports internal legal team regarding corporate due diligence.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines and interact with lawyers and business teams globally.
  • Experience providing counsel in a highly regulated environment is preferred and familiarity with healthcare technology or CRO. Will also consider experience working in pharmaceutical and/or life sciences industry
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently, assemble client resources, meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a multi-functional, international team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and risk assessment capabilities
  • J.D. law degree and State Bar admission with extensive experience in a major law firm or major in-house legal department. Admission to a state bar
