Job description
Teaching Personnel are looking for a Maths Tutor to work in the S40 area with a Year 9 female pupil.
Tuition is to take place after school hours for one session a week (previously a Thursday), to help raise her current level in KS2 maths.
The student presents with SEMH and lack of engagement and therefore we are looking for a tutor that can be a positive role model.
Ideal candidates for this role will be:
Experienced working on a 1:1 basis with pupils either in schools or as a 1:1 tutor outside of the classroom environmentMust have experience supporting students with SEMH and challenging behaviourExperience in planning and delivering cross-curricular subjects including Maths, English and ScienceBe confident to liaise effectively with the foster carer, schools and other professionals including social workersAble to create engaging, innovative lesson plans to help keep the student motivated as much as possibleBe willing to create weekly feedback reports so that progress can be tracked and monitored regularly (please note this is an ESSENTIAL and non-negotiable part of your role as a tutor and you will not be paid without sending weekly feedback reports).Able to be responsible for the safety and welfare of the pupil at all times, in addition to having a strong awareness of Child Protection issues (additional training is desirable but not essential)
