Our client are a FTSE 100 manufacturer, with multiple worldwide production facilities within the medical devices manufacturing sector. The company culture is one that heavily utilizes the Continuous Improvement model and requires a Technical Administrator to work in the companies Change Control Section. You’ll be looking after administration changes (data input, output, report writing, and working with their Data Manager System).
Technical Administrator (Manufacturing)
10/12 per hour – 6 Month Contract – 35hours per week
This role is Monday to Friday 9-4pm
Our client are a FTSE 100 manufacturer, with multiple worldwide production facilities within the medical devices manufacturing sector. The company culture is one that heavily utilizes the Continuous Improvement model and requires a Technical Administrator to work in the companies Change Control Section. You’ll be looking after administration changes (data input, output, report writing, and working with their Data Manager System). This role will help support the company with an exciting busy period of multi-million pound investment for the business at their site just outside Chester. They currently need assistance entering data onto the system and generating reports for various departments when required. The company are a keen advocate of employee engagement and Kaizen CI processes to work as a collective to develop new and existing products and processes that change the lives of their customers in over 100 countries.
This company are currently in the process of adding 9 new production lines to the facility to take their number from 33 to 42.This will allow them to increase the number of new products the site can manufacture, to meet global demand, meaning it’s a great time to join the company, add value and really make a difference.
You’ll look after what the company call Change Control. Essentially you will oversee the administration of the companies’ document control and database management systems there is called CEDAR and they will train you on this. You need to be really strong on Microsoft office and if you have worked in a manufacturing business before fantastic.
You’ll be taking reports and inputting the data on product validations, best practice, standard operating procedures, document control mainly using Excel and Word so someone with qualifications in these areas would be preferred. You’ll have great customer service skills as there will be times you may encounter customers, medical reps, company owners, suppliers or directors within the role. You’ll also be an advocate of looking for continuous improvement, and better faster ways of completing tasks.
If you have worked in manufacturing and understand the kind of reports required for production managers, and team leaders this is going to be a benefit. All of this data is inputted and taken from the company’s internal systems. Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards would be a desire but isn’t essential.
You must be comfortable looking after general administration duties. Data entry and report writing are two big part of the position so prior experience in this area would be very beneficial.
If you have had experience working in a manufacturing environment where you are used to dealing with documentation like ISO 9000 standards, SOP changes, process changes, best practice documentation, technical report writing, interpreting data and working with Excel databases you would be a good fit for this role.
The Technical Administrator will possess the following:-
Have worked in a Manufacturing Environment before
Possess technical Microsoft Office Qualifications specifically Word and Excel
Have ISO 9000 knowledge (beneficial but not essential)
Knowledge of Data Management Systems
This role is paying:
10 – 12 per hour – 6 Month Contract (Through Bluefire Consulting PAYE – we will cover your NI and Holiday payments) (Ends 31st October 2017) – 35hours per week
This role is Monday to Friday with the occasional flexibility for longer hours or weekend work during periods of product and process trials.
