Senior Innovation Quality Manager (Discovery) Location: South , United Kingdom

As an experienced strategic senior quality manager for future products (NPD) you would lead in developing the quality assurance framework and product quality standards for new to innovation projects that form the Global product pipeline.
As a Senior Quality Manager this role enables quality to be built into design and New Suppliers or Third Party Manufacturers development, through advanced quality planning (APQP) and excellence in innovation discovery.
Participates in technical development and delivery of innovation as a lead of the Quality work stream. In this context, the role holder contributes to the way quality is integrated into each project deliverables and also the specific quality protocols.
Defines the new quality features for innovative products based on product concept, brand quality expectation and formulating bespoke consumers research questionnaires, thus creating the Quality Acceptance Standards.
Applies advanced quality planning tools (FMEA, DOE, APQP) for development and qualification of new materials and products and builds bespoke Quality Control Plan for each innovation.
Develops Suppliers to attain minimum company requirements and develops Quality agreements if Supplier is starting from scratch. This involves many times for the job holder to train suppliers.
Assesses and qualifies new Suppliers capability based on the Technical assessment on site if Supplier already operates. Most suppliers and materials will be new to the company; therefore, the job holder will need to be able to understand their technology and compare to state of the art globally.
Develops bespoke Quality Control plans based on risk assessment and makes decisions during machinery protocols on new equipment/ testing rigs capability. Communicate in real time these findings to Senior stakeholders and Machinery representatives.
Defines quality attributes that require new methods development and suitability of such methods for industrial environment.
Supports embedding the use of Quality tools across all technical areas within Innovation Discovery teams.
KPIs: New Global Product Quality standards/Technology sign off/Product TA & TR sign off.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree level in a Science, Applied Science or Engineering with very good technical knowledge of multiple disciplines.
Good knowledge of Consumer centric quality management principles, design of new Processes and Standards management and Supply chain models.
Knowledge and experience of Statistics (minimum SPC and CI tools).
Experience with establishment of Quality policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Marketing research tools.
Must have global supplier experience
Experience in working across multiple functions/projects.
Decision making, based on very good analytical skills.
Strong influencing, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills across diverse cultures.
Ability to adapt fast and self-develop.
Full Time. Permanent (35hr week)
