The Financial Services Cloud Insurance team is looking for a star product management professional to drive insurance group benefits administration software used by a large number of our customers around the world.

This individual contributor will be a critical member of the team that is responsible for building and launching application products that would be leveraged by many insurers around the world. You will report to the Senior Director of Product Management for Insurance and will collaborate with an extended team across the organization around the world.


Here’s what you’d be doing:

  • Partner with product management leadership to develop the vision, strategy and roadmap for the group benefits quoting and administration products, across multiple Salesforce Industry cloud offerings

  • Deliver world class applications – that provide deep industry functionality, as well as broad cross-industry features – collecting inputs from customers, sales engineers, customer success teams, industry product managers and internal product experts

  • Drive the entire feature delivery lifecycle: research customer/user needs; write feature specs and user stories; partner with User Experience to design and prototype; work with engineering to develop, test and deliver a marketable product on time.

  • Lead scrum teams playing the product owner role, and participate in product launch/go-to-market activities

  • Represent Salesforce as a product and domain expert at customer interactions, industry, and corporate events, and through community sites and social media.

  • Collaborate across teams. We win or lose as a team. Product managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders.

Job Requirements

First and foremost:

  • 12+ years of experience software experience

  • 8+ years of experience in Strong Product Management skills, with a demonstrable experience in building and launching enterprise SaaS products 

  • Prior experience in group benefits applications for a leading software vendor is preferred.

  • Prior experience in group lines of insurance including Long Term Disability, Dental, Health and Vision including product catalogs, quoting, contracting, member enrollment and onboarding is a must.

  • Experience as a product owner leading agile teams over multiple product releases

  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills, technical acumen, excellent communications skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas

  • A “can-do” attitude, desire to hit the ground running and ability to deliver results with minimal direction

  • Experience working with a global team across time zones – leadership team is located in the US; engineering teams, and product teams are located in the US and India, but our customers are located across all areas of the world

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. MBA may be helpful, but not required

Everything else that matters:

  • Prior working knowledge of Salesforce products and technologies is strongly preferred

  • Experience in developing software for Insurance and Health Insurance

  • Group claims experience is preferred

  • Passion for creating powerful, beautiful and intuitive digital products

  • Knowledge of Database Architecture, SQL, SOQL, Apex, JavaScript, HTML and CSS is preferred

  • A sense of humor and grace under pressure
