We are seeking a passionate and driven Land Manager to be based out of the West Midlands.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is entrepreneurial, has a good reputation in the industry and has the determination to promote the cultural development of the company. If you’re an experienced Land Manager/Senior Land Manager, with a strong track record in land identification and have the ability to secure new residential sites through to exchange, this role may be for you. We would also consider Senior Land Buyers who are looking for the step up to manager level.
About the role:
You will be joining the West Midlands office to help the Land Director develop unit out put in the Midlands region which covers West Midlands, Staffordshire and Worcestershire. Sites that you will be identifying will typically be for 50 – 200 units in size. As the Land Manager, you will drive the success of the business and work closely with the Land Director and Managing Director by choosing the most cost effective developments.
– Land Identification –
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, local agents, land owners and other developers which creates opportunities for the company.
– Land Appraisal –
Develop and understand a full understanding of the companies land appraisal system and the various procedures: involving investigation, report writing and purchasing land.
Maintain and enhance town planning system and work closely with the planning and technical teams. You are to be highly involved in the planning process and monitor site progress through to completion stage.
– Land Acquisition –
You will be responsible for land opportunities and be able to negotiate and formulate offers to pursue land opportunities. Maintain a good knowledge of all technical aspects of acquisition and development of land and associated legal agreements. Maintain a thorough understanding of legal issues relating to contracts and partnerships and to work with local authorities, agents and lawyers.
It’s expected you will be very experienced in this field and have a strong contact base in the West Midlands area. You will also have necessary experience working with or along side residential developers or house builders and be able to demonstrate good leadership qualities with a professional management style. You will provide expertise and valuable knowledge into land identification and acquisition processes, you must have a extensive RP experience.
