Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Support Workers to assist in a specialist SEN settings settings in the Chichester area. This role will involve supporting children who are still attending schools and care provisions due to the Key Worker guidelines currently in effect.You will be approachable, caring and flexible with a drive to ensure that all students develop fantastic behaviours for learning. You will endeavour to encourage all students, regardless of their learning need, to be confident to tackle challenges and feel successful in their learning.Many of our SEN schools are still requiring staff to help support the current demand and there will be an increased demand beyond Easter. If you are available for work now or are keen to know more about the work we can offer, please apply.You must have previous experience supporting SEN in some capacity, alongside a working knowledge of safeguarding rules and regulations. The role is full-time and the school are looking employ ASAP (pending vetting checks).The successful candidate:
Will have experience supporting children or adults with AutismWill be aware of all safeguarding regulations and expectations in a school settingWill have genuine compassion and a want to adequately support the students in your careExperience supporting in a school environment is preferred but not essentialExperience of challenging situations and behavioursTeam Teach and/or Makaton training desirable
