We are looking for professionals that:

+ Have a strong background in public sector finance, working at Board level – probably a qualified accountant – either within the sector or consulting to it (this could be within central or local government, or within healthcare or higher education)

+ Have gained experience in the systems lifecycle for major finance solutions – for example, procuring, implementing and/ or using ERP or EPM systems

+ Have a network of C-level relationships across different public sector organisations and/ or with partner organisations (e.g. consultancies, system integrators)

+ Have a passion for innovation for driving change across different sub-sectors within public services, that can be translated into an ability to influence multiple stakeholders

**The role**

Within a wider team the Public Sector Industry Solution Specialist is responsible for supporting the build, sign-off and execution of the ERP Cloud Go to Market plan to acquire customers for Oracle ERP Cloud solutions across the UK public sector. This requires working closely with the Sales Leaders, Sales Representatives, Business Development Managers, Marketing and other key stakeholders to engage with Finance, IT and Business leaders in public sector organisations.

**Scope of the role:**

+ Co-develops the UK Go to market plan for the public sector, working with sales leaders, Marketing and Business Development, and manages execution of the plan

+ Identifies and influences key public sector stakeholders (customers, analysts, partners, influencers) with the aim of increasing Oracle’s visibility and customer awareness of our solutions; thereby, increasing market share through planning and execution of activities working closely with other key organizations like marketing and alliances and channels

+ Seen as the Oracle thought leader for Finance in the UK public sector

+ Work with Sales reps and Managers to:

+ Identify buying potential;

+ Shape appropriate value propositions for target personas and customers;

+ Define hooks and messaging to help sales teams be effective in engaging new customers;

+ Track investment in activities and related KPIs

+ Work with and leverage the appropriate resources and stakeholders in Oracle for successful execution of demand generation activities in the public sector

+ Reports to UKI ERPM Sales Development Leader

**You will be responsible for:**

+ Co-developing and driving the local Go To Market plan for Oracle’s suite of Digital Finance & Supply Chain solutions into the UK public sector;

+ Support strategic customer engagement and be a key contributor in defining a sub-sector or customer vision for Finance Transformation, including the strategy for adopting Cloud solutions

+ Engage and provide direction, leadership and motivation to all parties engaged in the ERPM Cloud business

+ Generate and share Knowledge Management, working with relevant industry third parties (eg. think tanks and publications), and with partner organisations

+ Be able to articulate the ERPM propositions in the business context of prospects, customers and partners

+ Drive specific sales programmes

+ Operate in line with Oracle’s HR policies and procedures

You will work in a matrix organisation in conjunction with technical field experts, management consultants, marketing directors, sales development leads and product development. The work requires you to travel for customer interactions while virtually working with the supporting functions.

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
