A school in Macclesfield is looking for a capable, motivated History teacher to join the teaching staff on a temporary basis. The role advertised requires a qualified teacher (QTS) The required applicant will be educated to degree level, and will preferably hold a degree within the field of History (or a related subject)Key aspects of this role include:
Delivering the schools curriculum and ensuring that students are adhering to school policy.Holding an in depth subject knowledge the school is looking for a well rounded History teacher, who has a strong grounding across the subject.Working with students on both an individual and group basis, as well as helping pupils with regards to the pastoral side of school life.Identifying pupils who require additional support successfully catering for the individual needs of specific pupils (e.g SEN and pupils whose primary language is not English.Creating adequate educational resources, ensuring that these meet the needs of all pupils within the class.Being able to develop students progress, both through group work as well as working with students on an individual basis.Managing behaviour expectations in line with school policy, as well as working in line with recommendations made by Ofsted.Successfully delivering curriculm across KS3 and KS4.Teaching up to GCSE level – being able to display competence in potential higher level teaching is also very desirable.
Pay – GBP24,373 – GBP40,490.This position will commence after the Easter break, and will run through until the end of the academic year.
Implementation of unique strategies being able to implement relevant interventions to aid students personal development is crucial.Displaying strong interpersonal skills exceptionally important, as well as being able to develop positive working relationships with both staff and students.Monitoring day to day factors such as:attendance, behavioural issues, examination preparation and in class assessment.
The schools location in Macclesfield, is close to Manchester city centre (less than 20 miles)There are numerous public transport links within close proximity to the school itself. There are multiple motorways also close by.
