Head of Compliance, Asset Manager – retained assignment 

The Panel has been retained by a leading asset manager to source a hi-calibre Head of Compliance candidate for their Man Co in Dublin. The role will report directly to the local CEO and Regional Compliance & Risk Officer based in the UK. The Head of Compliance will be responsible for all regulatory matters for the Dublin office as well as play a key role in the group compliance team and wider firm.

The Job:

• Perform compliance risk assessments focusing on monitoring & advisory activities
• Maintain and continuously enhance a robust compliance monitoring programme 
• Maintain adequate policies to ensure compliance with the regulatory obligations 
• Provide quarterly written compliance reports to the Board with regular interaction with the CEO and Group Compliance Officer on key compliance items 
• Providing regulatory advice to colleagues across the firm 
• Analyse relevant regulatory requirements and impact on Irish firm
• Review risk measures, risk models and risk limits for portfolios
• Production of reports to the Central Bank of Ireland
• Responsible for controls for anti-money laundering & counter-terrorist financing

The Candidate: 

• Min 8 years’ experience in a senior compliance, ideally Head of Function role 
• Experience of monitoring regulatory compliance across multiple business lines
• Pro-active and business focused providing support to team and wider group on regulatory matters
• Knowledge of EU marketing and distribution requirements
• Good knowledge of Irish regulatory requirements & UCITS/AIF products
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask & meet strict deadlines 
• Genuine interest in sustainability and responsible investing
