A school in Macclesfield is looking for a Geography teacher to join the teaching staff on a temporary basis. This position will focus on the delivery of Geography lessons to children across a broad range of ages. The required individual will:
Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)Be educated to degree level (preferably in Geography or a related subject)Have a proven track record in the delivery of high quality lessons.
The role will commence after the Easter break, and will run until the end of the academic year. There may be potential for this role to run into the new academic year in September, though this has not yet been confirmed. As this position involves teaching pupils across a wide range of ages and abilities, it is crucial that the required applicant will:
Be able to deliver school curriculum, as well as work within the guidelines of the schools policies.Monitor day to day factors related to attendance, examination preparation, and in class assessment.Feedback to relevant leaders related to student attainment, as well as any pastoral issues that may arise.Successfully differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN, as well as those requiring EAL support.Be able to offer consistent support and guidance to those requiring it, as well as being able to work with students on both a 1:1 and group basis.Be able to work on an individual level with students in order to enhance overall progress within the subject.
Pay: betwen GBP24,373 and GBP40,490 annually.The position will commence after the Easter break, and will run through until the end of the academic year.The school:
