SQL Database Developer

An organisation in the Scottish Borders are currently looking for a SQL Database Developer to join their IT department of 15 people. This is a new position and you will be responsible for continuing to build and develop the SQL Data Warehouse.This is a newly created position, with the Database Manager currently performing the role. They are looking for someone to perform the role full time and have realised the importance of this position moving forward. As well as building the Data Warehouse, you will be responsible for Dashboard reporting and performing analysis.The organisation are currently in the process of releasing a new product, that will make a difference. They invest heavily in research and have seen some of the fastest growth rates in Europe. They additionally spend up to one billion dollars on research every year.You will be working across the full Microsoft BI stack, including SSIS, SSRS and SSAS. The Business Systems team is five people at the moment, including a Database Administrator. You will be expected to assist them with simple tasks, however developing the databases is the key part of this position. The company use SQL Server versions 2008 onwards.This role is based in Galashiels, however it is also commutable from Edinburgh too.
