Our Client, a leading UK Education and Training provider is currently seeking a Skills Coach (Engineering and Construction) to join their dynamic team on a full time, permanent basis, between Worksop and Dinnington. The suitable candidate will lead on Employability within these area/areas ensuring progression routes and work readiness of learners. These learners include young people and vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities:
To plan, promote and deliver activities for all learners in accordance with curriculum plans.
To ensure that all learners undertake significant and meaningful activity involving employers during their study, achieve employability skills, and focussed mind set.
To plan and deliver training sessions across academic levels 1 to 3.
To make sure learners adhere to the accurate and timely recording of all work-related activity and work experience/placement using the pro-suites.
To seek and develop effective relationships with businesses to ensure meaningful employer involvement.
To write regular reports on the activities of the work placement.
To ensure effective Health and Safety and monitoring of all learners undertaking work experience off site, adhering to group policy.
To plan curriculum-based taster activities for internal/external events.
To deliver cross-college enrichment activities.
Key Skills and Experiences:
A passion for the vocational industry area with a view to becoming an advocate and expert.
Relevant Teaching/Assessing qualifications.
Experience within the Engineering and Construction field.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize own workload.
Ability to deliver to students of all levels and abilities.
Commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children and young adults.
Strong communication skills.
