We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join an industry leading complex infrastructure engineering consultancy on a permanent basis in London. Our client has specialist experience providing Civil and Structural expertise to a range sectors including Rail, Aviation, Defence, Nuclear, Power and Public Sector.
As the selected Senior Structural Engineer, you will be focussing on projects within the aviation sector. Your key roles and responsibilities:
Day-to-day management of small Civil & Structural project team
Contribute to wider development of Civil & Structural department capabilities
Lead Civil & Structural design delivery across single projects or part of larger projects in single or multidiscipline teams
Report on project performance to Associate or Senior Engineer
Tender preparation for projects of all sizes, including fee estimates
Have detailed technical knowledge of civil and structural design methods and standards
Be open to and encourage innovation and sustainability
Mentor, train and develop junior engineers
Support individuals to maximise performance
Essential skills, experience and attributes:
Chartered Civil/ Structural Engineer CEng MICE/ MIStructE
Appropriate depth and breadth of experience
CSCS Card
SC clearance
Full Clean Current UK Driving Licence
Technical skills and experience
Detailed knowledge of current Civil & Structural design codes & standards
Experienced in discharging responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations
Experience and knowledge of broad range of civil and structural design,
Experience of project delivery within some of the sectors we operate within
Familiar with relevant technical standards and assurance processes
Proven ability to work within a fully integrated, multi-discipline design team
Personal skills

Awareness of own limits and happy to seek assistance if where required

Willingness to embrace change
