The Global Practice Management System (GPMS) based on SAP technology went live in September 2017. GPMS is managed and supported by the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and the Application Management Support Service (AMS, outsourced to Accenture).
The Team
Based in our London or Newcastle offices this role will manage a small team working with the CoE, AMS and the wider EMEA finance team to meet the business information requirements of the region. The role reports to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Based in our London or Newcastle offices this role will manage a small team working with the CoE, AMS and the wider EMEA finance team to meet the business information requirements of the region. The role reports to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
The role will act as a business partner to the EMEA business to meet strategic and operational reporting requirements for internal and external client needs. This will be in consultation with the CoE/AMS and may include reporting in areas such as:
– Regional delivery of bespoke reporting and analysis
– Management reporting
– Client reporting
– Partner remuneration analysis and reporting
– Matter management analysis and reporting
– Global reporting
The roll will also undertake line management responsibility for the EMEA Finance Business Information Lead (based in London), and EMEA Business Information Analysts (based in London or Newcastle these roles are currently being recruited).
The role may also involve the project management of ad hoc systems projects for EMEA, together with other activities as directed by EMEA Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. Activities in 2019 are expected to focus on substantial development of improved reporting from ECC and Business Objects, with stakeholder engagement across the business, together with communication and training in respect of these developments. Some travel is likely to be required between our London and Newcastle offices and potentially across the EMEA region.
Skills and Experience Required
Understanding of financial analysis and reporting
Experience of managing small teams of people and stakeholder relationships
Experience of applications and reporting development.
Proven ability to become a subject matter expert on financial systems and processes required. Experience of SAP/ECC, Business Objects and Tableau (our global business information platform) is desirable.
Experience of legal firm or other professional service firm systems preferred
A high level of computer literacy and competence
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with a client service driven approach
Strong problem solver with a logical and methodical approach to issues
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Flexible approach to working hours and travel
Positive, committed and prepared to use initiative and learn
Ability to take responsibility, meet deadlines and work under pressure with multiple tasks
Willingness to work as a member of the team
Ability to successfully collaborate with various regional stakeholders to achieve results
