You”ll work closely with our clients and committed to achieving outstanding results in a stimulating and quality-driven environment. We are currently recruiting for a Security Vetting Administrator to become part of a well-established security Vetting Team providing a unique service across Wood’s Defence and Civil Nuclear operations. The successful candidate will be responsible to the Business Security Vetting Manager (BSVM) and will provide support to him as well as the Business Security Manager (BSM) and the Vetting Team based in Warrington. The candidate will provide support and guidance to the business on all aspects of security vetting and related matters so as to ensure that we comply with the Security Policy Framework and regulatory requiremnts and, to ensure we implement best practice across our locations. The successful candidate will also be required to drive a strong security culture within the organisation and ensure that the Wood Nuclear database and related activities are adequately maintained and implemented and resulting actions are delivered effectively The role involves:Processing, monitoring and reviewing pre-employment clearances and National Security Vetting applications and renewals in line with company and Customer requirements.Maintaining the Wood Nuclear Security vetting database and supporting clearance recordsMonitoring the vetting team shared email account and ensuring it is maintained and controlled in accordance with Security Team and company requirementsEnsuring effective Security communication is delivered, which includes confirmation of vetting status, site visit verification and attending client call down meetingsEnsuring a positive security culture is promoted including assisting the BSMs in undertaking security briefingsEnsuring arrangements are in place to maintain compliance with Security legislation.Assisting the BSMs in ensuring all Wood Nuclear vetting documentation is kept up-to-date and for ensuring policies and practices are adopted correctly.Ensuring that Wood Nuclear security office security requirements are established across all Warrington based Nuclear offices (e.g.: liaise with security guards, open and close up procedures).Assisting the BSMs in ensuring adequate security arrangements are in place and undertaken for all Wood Nuclear offices, Assisting the BSMs in ensuring mandatory security training is identifiedAssisting the BSMs in ensuring an effective audit programme is maintained and audit findings are actioned.Keeping up to date with new security developments and maintaining a sound working knowledge of the latest security related techniques and any security legislative developments that affect the Wood Nuclear and Defence environments.Supporting the BSMs with bids and proposals from a security perspective, and assisting, where required, on the set up of new offices and/or projectsQualificationsEducation – minimum knowledge in relevant subject but requirement can be met by equivalent experience or Security Professional qualificationUK national with the ability to obtain SC clearance as a minimumIT literate with good keyboard skills, able to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel  Knowledge, skills and experienceAn understanding of the Defence and Civil Nuclear businesses, its key customer base and associated security requirements is desirableHas sufficient grounding, standing and knowledge to be able to assist management and staff in security matters and to liaise appropriately with internal and external customer and regulatory teams.Knowledge and experience of Defence and Civil Nuclear requirements, and the industry’s regulations and standards in the UK; familiarity with relevant Industry standards and directives.   Personal attributesStrong communication skills Conscientious and diligent  Pro-active – engage broadly with stakeholders to identify and deliver systems and processes required to meet business needsMoral courage to act decisively in uncomfortable situations when required Strong teamwork behaviour and have the ability to work aloneAble to connect people and issues and drive a quick response.Pro-actively intervenes to drive continuous improvementInfluences and stays up to date with legislative and best practice developments in the industry to ensure we are seen as a leader in our field.  Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
