Quality EngineerLocation: DerbyshireSector: Supply ChainJob Type: PermanentSalary: 33000 – 35000Full Job Description:Our manufacturing client (based just north of Derby) are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer on a full time permanent basis. This is a role that comes with a superb benefits package. The role exists to support the growing Quality team and as such the client needs someone with at least 3 years previous QE experience.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will beresponsible for ensuring products conform toestablished processes and you’ll facilitateimprovement within such processes. You will also provide customers with technical support on testing issues and continuous improvements of quality systems.
Its essential you have an understanding and knowledge of EN9100 and ITAF16949.
As part of this role you will:
Work with operations to monitor, reinforce and communicate all customer issues, quality escapes and other systematic quality issues
Document and track non-conformances for incoming materials, internal departments, and customers
Analyse quality issues and develop corrective actions
Take ownership of and update of quality documentations
Represent the company to customers during communications / visits with responsibility to ensure/display preventive systems in place for the customer’s product
Coach/Instruct employees in quality assurance principles and methodology
Have involvement in Internal Audits to ensure compliance to quality standards and drive continuous improvements
Support the Quality team in preparation for and conduct of external audits
Maintain quality process stability to ensure favorable customer ratings, confidence and future sales
Who should apply?
Experience as a Quality Engineer is essential including having understanding and knowledge of quality systems, ISO9001/AS9100/NADCAP requirements.
Youll have strong influencing skills and be very performance and results driven. Youll have worked within a manufacturing environment before (ideally automotive or aerospace) and will be able to demonstrate experience in problem solving and root cause analysis.
