Job Title: Part-Time Book Keeper

Location : Watford

Salary: £25k Pro Rata

The Role

While the role is currently part-time, there is the opportunity for the role to develop & expand for the right candidate. Your role will be to provide first class administration support to the Finance team. We are looking for someone who has the ability to hit the ground running, as well as the ability and initiative to handle all aspects of Finance administration and more.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Accurate management and inputting of data into various accounting software packages and internal company spreadsheets

Handling internal and external queries via telephone, email and letter

Liaising with FMP external Accountancy firm

Defining and reporting on company metrics

Sales Ledger & Credit Control

Purchase Ledger

Chasing outstanding invoices

Receipt inputting

Looking after Petty Cash

Purchasing

Assisting with Cost control/budgeting

Resolution of supplier and internal invoice enquiries

Ensuring compliance with all FCA compliance regulations

Assisting directors with adhoc duties as required

Raise invoices and ensure customer billing is accurate and timely

Assist the operational teams with ad hoc issues to ensure a financially sound decision-making process

Person Specification

Education and Experience

Solid working experience of Xero

Previous experience of working in Financial services industry desirable

Highly IT literate with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel;

Ability to manage a busy workload and deliver high quality work to deadline;

Experience of proactively improving internal systems and processes

Hard working, professional person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

? Strong, confident personality, able to deal with people at all levels;
