You love research and you’re looking for a job that will allow you to develop your already strong technical non-life insurance knowledge.You have a sound general insurance product and technical knowledge, including experience with multinational programmes, and you want to utilise it to decipher how legislation impacts non-life insurance markets.You enjoy a challenge and you are keen to become the technical non-life insurance ”go to” expert in a progressive, innovative, agile business.You will primarily be responsible for the production of non-life insurance regulatory news alerts covering 100 territories. This includes identifying alerts that are of interest to our clients, online research, interpretation of regulatory changes (often using translation software) and writing a summary of new laws. Our alerts are written to a very high standard, so you need to be experienced in making technical information client-ready without editing or checking. This role will grow to include other responsibilities performed within the team, so you”ll find yourself getting involved in a number of different tasks such as: searching newly written Insurance Market Reports and selecting relevant material for the alerts, editing as necessary to ensure the narrative is suitablechecking and editing of Interim Updates to the Insurance Market Reportsassisting in handling client helpline enquiries by researching and answering technical insurance questionsother ad-hoc projects.We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes… We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment. You will also need;sufficient knowledge and experience gained within the insurance industry, preferably also of multinational insurance programmes, in a technical non-life insurance role commensurate with the level of this role.sound general insurance product and technical knowledge.ability to assimilate large amounts of data/information and produce concise, accurate summaries.strong administrative skills / MS Office software user (Word and Excel).ability to write and proof-read in excellent English.additional languages would be advantageous but not essential.
