You will build relationships with the customer base to understand their needs and allow us to present the best value options to our large critical accounts. You will ensure that all customer proposals are estimated accurately and compliment with customer specifications.

The Role,
Joining a highly supportive team you will take a lead working on key tender projects related to making buildings in the UK more environmentally friendly, reducing energy consumption and waste. This is a national role covering the North, Midlands and South and so will involve travelling to various customer sites and client offices.
You will take a lead, in pre-bid, mid-bid and post-bid stages to best understand the customer’s needs and using your industry knowledge and technical experience provide guidance and gravitas to the tendering process, championing the continuous improvement of the processes. We want you to take a tendering team which is currently very good and make it outstanding.
Ensuring that all quotations and tenders offer value engineering solutions, which are compliment, and minimise risk for the business. Making sure all deadlines of tenders are submitted within customer timelines and using communication and transparency to deal with any issues which may prevent this from happening. You will produce templates of documents which can be utilised by other departments to aid the tender process again evolving and continuously improving the documentation.
Working alongside sales teams, solution architects, product application engineers, operations and the legal department to deliver the highest level of expertise relating to the tenders. You will lead collaborative meetings to provide a platform for all departments to better understand the customer and there unique needs. Although there is minimal direct line management you will have a dotted management responsibility across a range of departments and so you will need to be comfortable managing colleagues.
The Candidate,
You are a passionate and enthusiastic person who doesn’t just go to work to earn a wage but truly strives to be the best they can be. You need to be open to new experiences and love a challenge. You must enjoy meeting people and forming long lasting and prosperous relationships. You will be commercially strong with a keen focus on detail, experience in a commercial bidding environments is also a must.
You will be from a technical background in BMS, HVAC, M&E, Lighting or power and spent a number of years working within tendering, proposal and/or bid teams. You will be qualified to degree level or alternatively have really solid relevant work experience, all qualifications or experience relating to tendering or contract management will be well received.
