WorleyParsons are recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor to mobilise to the GP3 FPSO on a 12 month contract Job Title: Mechanical SupervisorRef No: 2018 – 12677Location: GP3 FPSO, North SeaProject: TOTAL Job Purpose: The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for scheduling and executing mechanical planned, corrective and safety critical work in accordance with plan so as to ensure equipment integrity and availability. This is done in accordance with legislative requirements, company health, safety, environmental, integrity and other relevant standards and TOTAL values. Primary duties:Actively support a working environment based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrityCommit to incident free operations and actively promote within your teamWhere appropriate, person to provide input to major accident hazard management, in particular the prevention, detection, control, mitigation and response to major accidentsParticipate as a member of the Chief Engineer’s team in delivering TOTAL North Sea performance targetsBuild effective working relationships with other departments and shiftsEnsure necessary preparation for relevant scheduled activitiesLead, supervise on site and actively support the mechanical technicians and vendors to ensure that the maintenance work is executed in a safe, efficient and timely manner giving due regard to quality of work doneEnsure that the underlying causes of failures are understood and that action is taken to avoid repeat failuresDelegate work to subordinates and manage their workload and outputCoach and develop direct reports personally and professionallyCarry out appraisals and manage performance of direct reportsPrioritise and set objectives of direct reportsBring defects in practices, equipment, tools, protective clothing to the attention of relevant staffLiaise with projects, vendors and OEMs so as to maintain maintenance plans and documentationMaintain accurate and appropriate maintenance records and ensure that the data is entered into the appropriate information management systemsRaise relevant work permits in a timely mannerExecute duties as specified in the station/bill/emergency response procedures or as directed by the OIMEnsure a full and comprehensive handover detailing all relevant details in accordance with proceduresEnsure that high quality standards of housekeeping and cleanliness are maintainedEnsure that adequate stocks of equipment and materials are maintainedEncourage good, open communication promoting involvement and participation and adherence to TOTAL valuesDeputise for Chief Engineer as requiredCommit to MOUK Competence Assurance System and undertake any training and assessment required for the roleRequired qualifications/experience: Technical apprenticeship or equivalent and HNC Mechanical, plus demonstrable experience a the senior mechanical personOR First Class Marine Engineers Certificate of Competency OR In lieu of formal technical qualifications, candidate may offer extensive experience in offshore maintenance with a substantial auditable track record and proof of performance in a similar positionThey will have recently held a senior I supervisory maintenance engineering role on a permanently manned producing facilityRecognised relevant NVQ qualificationExtensive experience of offshore operations  Excellent  knowledge of maintenance, associated technical standards, processes and relevant legislationVender management experienceGood supervisory, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise mannerAbility to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externallyExperience of maintenance scheduling, organising, coordinating and controlling/monitoring workCompetent in the operation of computerised planned maintenance systems Ability to carry out accident I incident investigationsCompetent to conduct root cause analysis Ability to prioritise workloads
