The Rexdale facility runs 24 hours at 5 days a week and is registered and compliant with the FDA, EPA, & cGMP. Custom Division”s Rexdale facility procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of liquid personal care products.We are searching for a Line Mechanic to independently operate, changeover, and maintain production lines. The Line Mechanic Reports to Maintenance Supervisor, and must be collaborative. Must be observed by Production and Maintenance Management effectively accomplishing the following task requirements for at least two (2) production lines with minimal supervision and without assistance from a more experienced Mechanic: This is an ideal position for a sharp beginner willing to grow!This is an Afternoon Shift from 3:30 pm – 12:00 am.Responsibilities and Expectations:Performs changeover and set-up of Packaging MachineryTest Packaging Machine changeoverPerform all preventative maintenance of Packaging MachineryUses and follows the set-up and Blue Book specificationsComplete code sheet and log booksPerforms and completes daily operations safety checklistOperate drill press, band saw, hydraulic and arbor press and air tools.Performs periodic equipment rebuildsRemove Scrap Drum & Scrap Barrels from Production LineAssist Teamleader with lunch and break schedule for line employeesClean and maintain area after change-overs and repairsFollow Safety/GMP guidelinesFollow Enzyme Policies and Procedures when applicableMaintain an Annual Performance Evaluation Rating of Meets Plan or betterCore Requirements:High School Diploma or GED EquivalentSuccessful completion of Skills assessment and Panel InterviewMust provide resume for considerationAt least 1 year industrial mechanic experience or equivalentTeam player; Participation on Plant Continuous Improvement (CI) ProcessAttendance is essential to job qualification.No unexcused absence is acceptable.Physical Requirements:Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and push/pull 400lbs.Using hands and arms together to move various itemsAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time.Ability to work in an Industrial Environment.Must be able to follow oral and written instructionsMust pass written and mechanical test administered by the Maintenance DepartmentMust be able to physically endure work scheduleAbility to adjust and move equipment to complete projectsA Career With KIK offers:Very competitivewages & comprehensive benefits package including 401K program, health – dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and much more within 3 months of successful employment in this positionProfessional atmosphere, great working conditions, dynamic leadershipAutonomy, training, personal and professional development opportunitiesThank you for your consideration of a career with KIK Custom Products.KIK is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
