 Wood are currently recruiting for a Lead Integrity Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen.  To provide integrity engineering consultancy services to the WG client base. The role may be primarily based within the WG offices or as a seconded role based in clients or project team offices.The role may also require the provision of on-site support, both onshore and offshore as necessary. The primary function of the Integrity Engineer will be to oversee the successful day-to-day completion of engineering workscopes as identified by the Integrity Team Leader or the applicable client representative / project manager. Typical workscopes included within the remit of the Integrity Engineer are: the development of written schemes of examination, fitness for purpose assessments, risk based inspection assessment and the development of asset integrity management documentation.Required to ensure the safe, efficient and profitable execution of all engineering works. Specifically to provide integrity engineering support to projects and external clients.Writing and checking of technical reports, specifications and the provision of engineering support by other communication means (email etc) in support of the WG client base. The level of technical accountability is subject to the competency level allocated to the individual Integrity Engineer for each Core Activity. Possess a working familiarity with relevant codes and standards that affect integrity engineering for design and operational purposes. Provide integrity engineering expertise based upon knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, asset operating environments / processes and the likelihood of failure and associated consequences for a variety of Energy Industry assets.Writing, checking and issuing of integrity management documents for the lifecycle operation of subsea and topside assets. Perform fitness for purpose studies to ensure continuing integrity asset management of structures and pressure containing equipment.Assess the results of survey, inspection, testing and monitoring activities and provide detailed fitness for service assessments. Support other WG companies with their integrity engineering issues.Assist in the training of graduate engineers.Correctly adhere to the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies. Implement appropriate levels of reporting and control to provide the information necessary to maximise the profit and return on work undertaken by the Company.Liaise with Customer personnel to develop discrete workscopes and build a professional working relationship with the Customers. Checking, validating and approving supplier invoices. Following up any disputes to arrive at an early settlement / resolution.Review opportunities for individual skill development through attendance at conferences, courses and seminars.Supporting other discrete packages / work as may be required on a time-to-time basis.Any other relevant duties as required.      Demonstrate technical understanding of integrity engineering standard practices and communicate effectively with others on technical issues.Self motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering first class integrity engineering services.Computer / IT literate.Team player with good interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to those in a wide range of organisation positions.Capacity to understand complex problems and help indentify practical and technically sound solutions. Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Alternative tertiary education and suitable experience may be used to demonstrate equivalent standar£ds. Skills & Competencies: Formal training in various integrity engineering applications associated with design and in-service asset operations.Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards relevant to the Energy Industry.Good PC literacy (specifically with the MS Office products).Fluent in both written and verbal English. Relevant Experience: Experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy industries in a role which had a primary technical function requiring the provision of integrity egineering services.Experience in engineering technical terms and their uses and applications. Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
