The University of Cambridge has an opening in the Insurance section for an Insurance Advisor.
The Insurance section arrange and administer the insurance programme for the University and its subsidiary companies and this is an existing role within the team working alongside an Insurance Assistant and reporting to the Head of Insurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the arrangement of insurance cover and handing claims for the departments and institutions of the University. The role requires the post holder to provide reliable and timely information and provide advice to senior academic and administrative staff, junior researchers and external parties. A flexible attitude and the ability to provide a creative approach to problem solving without the need for supervision together with excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.
The successful candidate should have a good all round background in the arrangement and administration of commercial insurance for large organisations including the handling of property, liability, travel and motor claims and experience of providing general insurance advice and documentation.
The applicant should have at least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above and Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate of Insurance or progress towards is desirable.
Funding for this post is permanent.
