An exceptional position has been made available with a National and very well respected Insurance Company which focuses on Personal Lines Insurance with its Head Office in the South East and other offices across the country.
Currently seeing a period of new business growth and now is the time for a Senior Insurance Professional to make a difference on their renewal portfolio.
Reporting directly into the Director of Motor Insurance, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the execution of the renewal strategy.
The ideal candidate will be expected to manage a team yet the attendance within the office is at the candidates discretion and time split between Head Office and at home is to be qualified by the candidate.
Your remit will include the following:
To set and lead the delivery of the Renewal strategy (including fee strategy) for Motor, maximising persistency and lifetime value.
Leading the Motor and renewals forecasting and budgeting activity including monthly updates to multi-year strategies
Ensure strong understanding of market and key competitor activity and regulatory developments impacting Motor and renewals trading
Hold accountability for identifying and developing business cases for strategic capability in Motor and renewal performance
Developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships, with stakeholders in all functions that have a role in delivering the Motor and renewals trading outcomes
Responsible for ensuring full understanding of trading performance and underlying drivers across intra-day to multi-year horizons.
Identifying trading performance improvement opportunities, working across the matrix to prioritise, secure resource and deliver as appropriate
Working collaboratively with stakeholders in relevant operational teams to ensure strong monitoring and control of end-to-end Motor and renewals business
Leading the resolution of Motor and renewals trading issues, including any breaches and incidents
Lead, coach and develop the Motor and renewals team to ensure effective delivery of the overall plan
As part of the Leadership Team, playing an active role in defining Commercial and broader retail strategy and plans. Ensuring the Motor and renewals team is well connected to other retail areas
Required Experience:
Significant understanding of the Personal Lines General Insurance products and operations developed through leadership roles in Commercial/trading
Strong commercial acumen, comfortable with the mechanics of the retail insurance P&L and drivers of performance
Results oriented and fast-paced commercially-focused
Customer-focused and able to leverage understanding of customer needs and behaviours to drive strategy and actions
Innovative and driven able to seek out opportunities to disrupt and innovate while also incrementally evolving current practices; drive to cut-through challenges to deliver results
Strategic thinking able to set a vision to gain and maintain competitive advantage, and deliver this within a fast-paced environment
Proven team leadership ability, experienced in building, leading, motivating and coaching high-performance team
