We’re looking for a Facilities Administrator to coordinate facilities provision across our retail empire. In return for your administration and coordination skills you will get to work as part of a close knit team looking to drive a business we’re all passionate about forward.
The Role
As the Facilities Administrator you will coordinate our facilities provision across 4 sites (empire may have been a stretch) based around London making sure we continue to stay open to serve our customers, are safe to work, shop and eat in and our buildings look great whilst doing so!
You’ll be the first point of contact for customers and other staff to report a facilities or building maintenance issue and will coordinate the project from there; managing the helpdesk system, assigning Fabric Technicians, arranging external contractors and logging notes on the internal systems.
Within head office you’ll also manage all the meeting room schedules, stock control and post room responsibilities.

The Candidate
If you are an outgoing, enthusiastic Administrator with experience working in a facilities or maintenance environment we’d love to hear from you!
Given the nature of the Facilities Administrator position you’d be able to get a flying start if you had a background coordinating or scheduling engineers, technicians or facilities operatives across multiple sites. A good working knowledge of health and safety would also come in really handy.
This is an administration role so your MS Office skills need to be top notch. You really need to be an MS Excel wizard for this, confident with trackers, formatting and writing basic formulas (heads up: we are going to test this at interview).
You’ll be part of a busy team and there will be a lot of interaction with internal employees, external contractors and customers so a people person is going to thrive in this environment. Things can get hectic around the office, to enjoy yourself you’ll need to be used to working like.
The Company
We are the UK’s oldest Chinese supermarket chain, setting up in North London during the Sixties when the UK was just getting a taste for delicious cuisine from the Far East and began experimenting with it in their homes. We like to think that we helped power the revolution from the traditional "meat and two veg" UK to the cultural melting pot that it is today.
Almost 50 years on we’re looking at increasing our reach through more stores and so we need more people to help look after those. As Facilities Administrator you will work as part of our close knit Facilities team, alongside Fabric Technicians and reporting into our Facilities Manager. Those guys travel across the various London sites but you’ll be based at Head Office, coordinating everything from there like a well-oiled machine!
