Role: Engineering Geologist
Location: Derby
Salary: £22,000 – £26,000
Experience level: 1+ years
Academic requirements: BSc Geology, MSc Engineering Geology (desirable)

Client:
My client is a multidisciplinary SME that are now looking to hire an Engineering Geologist to join the team. The consultancy cover a range of service areas; Environmental, Geotechnical, Civils, Structural and have a current head count of approximately 55 staff who work together very closely.

Requirements:

* A minimum of 2 years relevant experience with a bias towards fieldwork and data acquisition;
* Excellent written English and verbal communication skills;
* Strong interpersonal / team working skills;
* Ability to log soil and rock in accordance with the current British Standards;
* A good understanding of geotechnical and contaminated land investigation and foundation design is desirable;
* Understanding of relevant regulatory guidance;
* First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and CSCS qualifications are essential; but can be gained following employment;
