Team The Sovereign Team is responsible for maintaining and growing existing client business as well as developing new relationships across the highly competitive sovereign wealth fund, central bank and public institution environment. Role & Responsibilities The successful candidate will be tasked with helping to manage one of the most extensive Asset Management books within the Middle East and will play a leading role in developing and deepening JPMAMs relationships with the largest, most sophisticated institutions across the region, with primary personal responsibility for Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia. The role requires a high level of technical investment knowledge and will involve partnering internally with investment teams across all asset classes, both traditional and alternative. Candidates must have the gravitas and expertise to act as ambassador for the firm and to effectively and independently build long-term partnerships based on sound investment advice and trust. Key ResponsibilitiesBuilding the strongest possible relationships with key client and prospect decision-makers across the Middle East region, with a personal focus on Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia.Developing a broad and deep knowledge of the full investment management capabilities of JPMAM.Building key internal relationships and partnering closely with other teams across the franchise (investment specialists, portfolio managers, product strategy etc.) to effectively position both new and existing solutions to fit with client and prospects investment needs.*Core SkillsSignificant experience of working with Middle East Sovereign Wealth Funds and institutions, and of running client relationships with complex and multiple product offerings.Proven track record of forging successful partnerships at the most senior and sophisticated level.Strong technical investment knowledge, with experience selling complex products and solutions across the asset class waterfront (equities, fixed income, multi-asset and alternatives). Solid alternatives experience (liquid and illiquid) is preferable.Analytical, with solid understanding of markets, competitive positioning and regulatory environments; Ability to position and differentiate our products against competitor firms investment products and processes.Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to thrive within a large, complex and matrixed organization, but also as part of a small, collaborative team with a flexible approach to client coverage.Effective communication and messaging skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver decisive and insightful solutions.Excellent internal and external influencing and relationship building capabilities. Highly disciplined and self-sufficient with excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills.Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred.CFA preferred.This position will be based in London, UK.
