Exact working hours: Hours of work 7 hours per week on Saturdays during term time, between 09:00 and 18:00 depending on the scheme. There will also be additional work available during school holidays. Any further details: Annual Leave: 4 weeks pro rata per annum plus bank holidays. The holiday year runs from 1April 31March. An incremental increase applies with service and commences after 2 years completed service increasing to a maximum entitlement of 5 weeks after 6 years service. About the RoleJob purpose: To work with children/young people who have complex needs and disabilities across East Surrey & West Sussex. The clubs run during the school term time and during the school holidays. The main purpose of these clubs is to provide short breaks for families with children who have complex needs and disabilities Main responsibilities To participate in the safe delivery of the term time and holiday clubs provided by the YMCA To assist senior staff in the setting to ensure its smooth and reliable operation To contribute to the planning, organisation and delivery of activities, ensuring they are adapted where appropriate to be accessible to all involved To work as part of a team consisting of play workers and volunteers and to ensure that the service provided is of the highest quality To ensure that all of your working practices operate within the organisational health and safety procedures, and to furthermore ensure that safeguarding and child protection policies are always adhered to To supervise the environment to ensure physical, emotional and personal safety for all children/young people attending.
