The Engineers output is a set of manufacturing documentation (Parts Lists, Piece-part Drawings, Assembly Drawings, Test Specifications, Printed-Circuit Board artworks [which may be in electronic for as a set of files] etc.). The Engineer is responsible for authorising any of the above documentation, when generated by Design. Key Responsibilities: Electronic design:Analogue (low frequency, but precision instrumentation circuitry) and digital circuit design, analysis and developmentThermal management for power circuitryPrinted circuit board layout (single, double-sided and multilayer)Test Equipment Design:Technical knowledge of Test Systems hardware and software including National Instruments & Pickering Instruments ProductsKnowledge of and ability to select appropriate design techniques and solutions for test equipment applicationsRaychem Harnware Cable Design experience is desirable but training can be providedCore Requirements:Some appreciation of metalworking processes and materials used in electronic industry would be usefulUnderstanding and application of user safety standards and other statutory requirementsWorking with the NBO team to deliver the new product on time, quality and costAssessing plant, test equipment tooling, drawings, permits and extra servicesIdeally degree qualifiedBroad level of experienceKey behaviours:Sets example to entire workforce (professionalism, attitude, punctuality and flexibility)Good communicatorTeam playerDisciplined and organised approach
