My client is a Global leading FMCG business looking for a demand planner to join their team based in Berkshire
The key responsibilities for the Demand Planner role are:Working alongside Commercial and Finance teams, youll generate the best possible demand forecast for your customer.Ensure that this demand forecast is input to planning IT systems.Monitor actual orders against your demand forecast, speedily investigate significant variances and amend your demand forecast appropriately.Be the face of the Supply Chain to your customer and own the service level into their depots.In addition to your customer-specific work, you will own a variety of other projects on behalf of the UK Team. This could include certain sales events, new product development launches, system enhancements and process reviews.Act as the Senior Managers deputy when required.Provide our Supply Chain Teams with timely analysis, guidance, information, and decision-making to ensure that the Supply Chain is in the best position to deliver against your demand plan.Demonstrate high personal integrity to develop / manage the customer relationship so that we are recognised by them as a best practice supplier.
The successful candidate for the demand planner role will have the following skill set:Worked in a similar Demand Planning or Forecasting role in an FMCG/fast paced environment. Worked alongside one of the UK’s biggest grocery customersAble to achieve of results in a fast-moving environment, where you can demonstrate a strong self-starting ability and persistent will-to-win.Has worked cross-functionally at an operational level, with the ability to influence all levels of the organisation.Strong examples of relationship building and creation of collaborative, customer-focused plans.Good understanding and use of IT systems; database and JDA, Manugistics or IMI understanding would be particularly relevant.Able to identify connections in data, events and trends.Must be able to make the right short-term decisions without sacrificing long-term context and results.Great communication skills.Strong coaching skills.
