Job Summary & Responsibilities STM Group are recruiting for experienced Control Room Operators to join our 24-hour Control Room Centre Due to rapid expansion of our business, STM are recruiting for experienced Information Controllers to join our team. This is a permanent role and would suit an organised person who enjoys working under pressure on their own and as part of a busy team. You will be working day and night shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern including weekends. You will also as part of the team look at self-coverage during sickness and Holiday periods. You must have: SIA licence Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Flexible to work 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern including weekends Advanced customer service skills Advanced numeracy skills Exceptional IT skills Good analytical approach to tasks What you get: Job Role: Control Room Operator Hours: Full-Time, 12 hour day and night shifts Location: Excellent location in Manchester City Centre Pay rate: 9.00 per hour This is an excellent opportunity to join a renowned, national security firm and to develop your career within the security sector. Duties and responsibilities: Collating the Client Daily Activity, site tagging Reports and STM Incident Report. All major incidents must be escalated to the relevant Supervisor, Operations or Senior Account Manager. All Daily STM Incident reports must record what action has been taken etc. It is important that you ask the caller for all the relevant information or wherever possible cross check detail with the faxed incident reports. The roster management system is to be monitored continuously throughout your shift to ensure staff have logged on and are performing their duties. Answering the phone and demonstrating excellent communication skills, displaying a polite and friendly disposition at all times. Completing the relevant reports on a daily/weekly/period basis as required. To ensure that the daily Activity Reports for Clients are well structured with details of the Emergency Services including reference numbers etc. Entering relevant details on to the roster management system. When rostering or arranging last minute or emergency cover officers used must have been inducted at the requested location. Reconciliation of all hours on a daily or weekly basis and where required ensure that the operations team are aware of any discrepancies and escalation to the Support Services, Operations and Senior Account Manager if these are not rectified by the operations team. Monitoring the single man site by ensuring regular check call are undertaken by the officers to our communication room staff. To also monitor regularly the tagging of sites where applicable and where special attention is required.
