Barker Munro are delighted to be able to offer an intermediate level Commercial Account Handler role within a busy independent broker office in Surrey.
This role would suit an individual looking to make their 2nd or 3rd move within Commercial Insurance and looking to take the next step.
Minimum requirements for the role are:
Min years of experience 3 years in the Commercial Insurance sector
Ability to handle aspects of Commercial Property owners policies including small portfolio of Household buildings and contents policies
Ability to handle New business, Renewals and claims
The purpose of the Commercial Account Handler Role will be:
To provide support to commercial clients to ensure conversion of new business, service of existing accounts and retention of renewals to achieve company income targets in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Specific Responsibilities:
Ascertain Client Demands and Needs by way of a comprehensive fact find including the Full Business description/Property description
Ensure that the Client receives the best terms from the Markets available.
Highlight the Terms, Conditions and Warranties applicable to the policy at New Business & Renewal Stages (& Any Amendments Applicable)
Comply with Strict Credit Control rules payment to be received no later than 14 days after effective date unless Credit Authority slip signed by the relative Director.
Ensure that Insurers documentation is correct and fully reflects the cover as requested in the Demands and Needs Statement and that the Terms, Conditions & warranties reflect those accepted by the client.
Issue and forward all Renewal documentation in accordance with Departmental policy.
All Documentation must be scanned onto Sirius System as you process the file.
All Telephone Conversations to be logged as an Event on the System.
Each Outstanding item to be noted on your individual Task List.
Follow Full Departmental Procedure for:
a) New Business
b) Renewals
c) Mid Term Adjustments
d) Claims
Assist with the production of the Month End Reports to ensure that all Company Procedures are adhered to and completed in a timely manner.
