We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with an emphasis on Security that can thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment. As a Network Engineer, you understand the issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructures, including network connectivity, internet access, mail, DNS, advanced network architecture, LAN/WAN, UPS systems, Cisco routers, Cisco switches, vlans, routing protocols, sub-netting, TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, bgp and QoS. Strong customer communication skill is required. Responsibilities:Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery. Acquisition & DeploymentDeploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including, routers, hubs, switches, WAN-accelerators and other hardware.Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. Operational ManagementConfigure networks (LAN/WAN) to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.Monitor network stability, availability and performance.Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems as needed.Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer”s hardware and software.Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.Provide third and fourth-tier support for networks and on a lower level for systems, databases and applications.Automate tasks as much as possible through the development of scripts and our proprietary IPautomata FrameworkIdentify, evaluate and recommend network related tools and emerging network technologies.Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.Participate in managing all network security solutions.Provide guidance to (junior) members of the team.Desired Skills and ExperienceCCNP or equivalent certifiedHands-on experience implementing, administrating and troubleshooting network devices3+ years of network administration mandatoryStrong Firewall/Security backgroundHigh exposure of wireless technologies with a solid understandingExpert experience with Cisco routers and switches (all platforms)Experience with Cisco and ASA platformsKnowledge about VPN technologies (IPsec, MPLS)In depth knowledge of TCP/IPKnowledge of routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP and OSPFMust have user-level experience with Linux systemsExcellent troubleshooting skillsIn-depth WAN troubleshooting knowledgeExperience working independently with service providersStrong knowledge of LAN related technologies: STP, vlans, HSRP, VTP etc. PreferredWorking knowledge of proxy serversKnowledge about- and experience with network monitoring toolsKnowledge about ITILExperience with scripting languages like Perl and Expect is a plusExpertise in non-Cisco platforms, such as HP Procurve, Bluecoat, Brocade is a plus
